Strong and fit with ProMuscle!

The Promuscle program has been specially developed for people aged 65+. People from 65 to even 93 years old have tested the program and were enthusiastic. The program lasts 12 weeks and consists of two parts: Exercise and tailor-made nutritional advice.

The exercise part consists of strength training twice a week where the load is built up over 12 weeks. This build-up will increase your muscle mass. This keeps you independent for longer and reduces the risk of fall accidents. The cost for the intake + training under supervision twice a week for 12 weeks is 250 euros. You may be eligible to receive a contribution from the municipality of Wageningen for participation through the I participate fund. More information about this can be found at:

The nutritional part consists of extra protein intake. Proteins are the building blocks of muscles. To determine what amount of proteins you need, Tessa Schippers from Tijd voor Voeding guide you. The costs of dietitian guidance can be covered by basic insurance if the deductible has been used up.
